Russian heavy metal band... very classy latin title, though.
The credits say: Front picture by John Hout ("The Dark Tower") Right, thought I, who is this John Hout fellow with a style so remarkably similar to my own?
So I wrote to the band.
This was their reply:
"All artwork for the booklet one way or another is label's duty so LABEL is responsible for using the artwork. We are musicians so we write music...."
Oh, well I guess that makes it all right then.
But, fair enough.
So I wrote to the record company. Here's their answer:
"We ordered this lay out from one Russian web-designer, he sold it for 700$ for this album. We didn't know that it was your work, he said that it was made by him or his friend, I don't remember now. We don't work with him now so I really don't know how to find him..."
I replied that they had spent 700 bucks for nothing...(I have lots of web-designer friends, but no Russian ones.)
Here's the final word:
"As far as I know this f*%+ing web-designer now works and lives in the USA (he got his green card 2 years ago)."
Oh well... that explains why he needed the money... (He sold a Ted Nasmith picture to Rossomahaar too, but on a different label.)
