This was one of the times when I felt the unbearable pressure of the board-room.
I originally did a sketch with Turambar kneeling on the ground, in profile, with his head hanging forward, held upright by the sword which had transpierced him.
It wasn't judged dramatic enough.
So, obedient illustrator always willing to please, I did another sketch, this time a face view, but with his head down and long black hair obscuring his face.
It wasn't judged dramatic enough.
Re-sketch, this time with eyes on camera.
That was the original I did, hating every second of it, which was plenty dramatic enough for me...
