The Quest for Fire is a wonderful epic, totally Victorian in treatment, practically high fantasy, so far is it removed from current anthropological knowledge.
It was enormous fun, though - mimimalist costume, lots of landscapes and big predators, no golf courses or kitchenettes. An illustrator's dream.
