Hi,

I have surfed your site for several times and I am always stunned. You really can catch the feel of fantasy. This is art with capitol letter A. Keep on good work and I wish to see more your wild visions.

John, it has been a long time since I first saw your work - it was in a book of illustrations of Tolkien's books by many illustrators from different countries. Together with Alan Lee and Ted Nasmith you were my favourite. Then I found your works on Rolozo site and afterwards you finally created your own website... and ever since it has been my pleasure to visit it from time to time - not only to look at now familiar immages but also to read your articles and look at the things that inspire you. I have your book (Myth & Magic) and your illustrations helped me to find the world of Robin Webb - thanx for that. And thanx for all your good work (and hopefully fun) 😉

I was lead here from a link to Viggo Mortensen's intro to your book and I found myself compelled to look at your pictures. And I'm glad I did. Your artwork is wonderful to look at. After viewing some of your work, I find I too want to see the rest of the picture beyond the page. Especially your more detailed work found me wanting to go into the picture and explore. Keep up the good work and good luck to you in all you do!

Hi there!
I bought days ago the extended versions of Lord of The Rings and I must say that you and Alan Lee are my favourite artists. I already had some wallpapers made by you, but I never knew who was the artist that drew them.
Keep doing the great work!
One of these days, I'll sign this Guestbook again. Probably when you draw more amazing drawings

Namà¡rie! 😀

Hello!

First of all sorry for my English.
You are my favorite artist. I met your drawings in 1999. 99 was a stresful year for me because there was the biggest exam for entering Universities. So to escape that stressi, I started to read Lord Of The Rings. I search on the net about it and found your drawings. You are fabulous. I found my self in the middle earth. I got rid off exam's stress with your magnificent drawings. Your drawings is exactly what I imagined the Middle Earth.

Thank you for your great drawings.
Thank you for improving my imagination.
Thank you for adding this content to Lord of the rings. You enlarge the Middle Earth.

I enjoy *all* your work. Got all the 1st editions of Robin Hobb's first 3 trilogies, probably buy all the Soldier's Son, too. And of course your work in Peter's Lord of the Rings is incredible.

Do you practice falconry? I watched a doc on you and your work, during one segment you were holding a bald eagle with all the falconry equipment. Was curious as to whether you are involved or if it was just for the piece?

Thanks
