WOW! I am amazed by your talent! I am in awe of the way you can bring to life things that are thought to only live in one's imagination!

I've just recently discovered Tolkien due to the fanatastic Peter Jackson movies and I'm becoming more and more interested in how they were made and that includes the incredible detail in the design work. I marvel at your work -this is a brilliant web site. I've only just skimmed the surface but know I will return again and again! Thank you!

Bonjour John !
Cent mille fois merci !

Merci John.

Hello! 😀

Just another fan expressing her appreciation of the wonderful artworks you've done on LOTR. I was especially excited to see more of both you and Alan Lee on the Extended Edition DVDs. And thanks for putting up this site so we can see more of your creativity! :p

🙂 To be a good storyteller is a great gift, and John Howes' ability to tell a story through his paintings is an extraordinary gift. I am constantly amazed when looking at his paintings......he can convey so much feeling and emotion on his canvas...
I love tales and fables of old, and Mr. Howe has the special gift of being a great visual storyteller! His paintings speak volumes about the tales he is telling. We are certainly lucky to be able to share his vision, and I applaud this website!
Thank you, John Howe!!!

I can see you've already got dozens of people praising your work here, but one more can't hurt? Anyway, this website is fantastic, great to be able to see so much of your work in one place.

Hello John!

Dear John!

Thank you for the talent, inspiration and fabulous comments on your pictures. it is truly stunning pictures that'll spur me on to draw even more.

As an avid fan of centaurs and all that has to do with them, I was utterly thrilled when I received the link of the Centaur armours from a friend. They are fabulously created and I really had to stop my pens from starting to doole armours for my dear "taurs" as well. I'll leave such fabulous designs up to you...

Thank you for inspiration, I'm in awe!

Hello sir John, I'm from a little town of Catalonia. I'm very nervious because I'm writing to you,I really admire your incredybles pictures,I'm a "pintor" too but with normal colors because to pà¬nt with paints is very expensibe for me. I'm 18 years "student" old and I have been gifted with the love of painting like my mother and grandfather. I look foward to show you my pictures and if you can have a few time to look them. My latest frame is in A3, and this is a composition of the Two Towers where are Gandalf the White, Aragorn with Andàºril, Legolas with the bow of the Black Forest-it's really my mistake, because I looked it in a scene of moria- and in last Gimli the dwarf. I'm waiting if you can send to my e-mail your adress to show you some of my pictures. Sorry John, my english is so bad, but I have done what I can. To Elbereth Glithà³niel !!!!!
