The poster collection Images of Tolkien’s Middle-Earth is scheduled for reprinting
I’ve just received news from HarperCollinsPublishers that the long-out-of-print and much-sought-after poster collection (by me too; I don’t have any left myself!) will be reprinted in the near future.
This is the one with Gandalf on the cover, containing six of my Tolkien illustrations.
The first edition was printed ages ago. The borders around the posters were white, and two of the images were cropped to fit the rectangular format of the collection.
The second edition was much nicer, with black borders and the illustrations reproduced without any cropping. The layout of the portfolio that contains the images is much classier too, all in all, far superior to the first edition.
I’ll post news on the exact publishing date and availability as I receive it.
In the meantime, there’s still the MYTH & MAGIC Poster Collection, containing 8 prints. ISBN 0-00-712332-9, published by HarperCollinsPublishers.
