2004 Artist's and Graphic Designer's Market
The AGDM is a very important publication for me... way way back when I was still in high school, one of my best friends (who has since gone on to become one of Canada's best writers and poets) had a dog-eared copy of The Writer's Market. In there was an ad for the Artist's Market (as it was called at the time). Gosh this looks promising thought I, being as I was looking for a scholarly pursuit to blow away my scholarship money (which the local school probably wisely didn't want to hand over to me in cash). I picked out a handful of names and wrote off to each. One of the schools listed was in Strasbourg. Beginning of long story... but to cut it short, I'd likely be somewhere else today if I hadn't ordered a copy of that catalog. That's why it was a special treat to do this interview.
