Very poor cover here... I wasn't happy at all with the job I did for any of the books in this series (the editor must not have been happy either - I only did two). I can't remember the story at all, and was probably working from a thin brief. I always have this problem getting into a story if I'm atmosphere-deprived and information-starved. Sometimes you get lucky and the idea works despite the tenuous relationship to the text, but much of the time it doesn't, like here.
