Dragon Isle
Dragon Coast A DIVERSITY OF DRAGONS by Anne MacCAFFREY, 1997 This painting was done as a throw-away, one of those pieces that are done on the spur of the moment, in the hopes that it will find a way to fit in a book. Imagine a volcanic isle, like Surtsey, but composed of dragons facing out to sea. Like those incredible photos of lava flowing directly into the sea, but in this case - alive, and perhaps even hungry.... It is definitely a theme I will visit again.
