Fear! Fire! Foes!
This picture of Smaug, intent on crisping those pesky dwarves on the Lonely Mountain, was done especially for A Diversity of Dragons.
While I was happy with the mountainside, the dragon Smaug is a disaster. His wings are all wrong, his neck is not right, nothing about him really worked the way I wanted.
Too pressed for time to start it over, I included it in the book anyway.
All the more reason to go back and revisit the scene one day.
