2003-02.15 - The Lord of the Rings - the Exhibition
Entrance to the Te Papa Museum in Wellington, New Zealand.
Independantly of the LOTR Exhibition, the museum is a wonderful place. What the New Zealanders don't possess in history is amply compensated by the quality of the museum itself. it's fun, spacious, interactive and well designed. the collection of Maori art and artefacts is worth an afternoon by itslef.
And, it's free!
(And no, the airport is a bit farther out of town - that helicopter was part of a PR campagin for New Zealand's UN troops.)
