This is one of those pictures where you just want to keep charging ahead with it and adding more lances, more arrows, more orcs, MORE more...
Happily, pressed by deadlines, I had it scanned when it was far enough along to be sent to the editor, and then happily pottered along, adding more this and extra that until I ruined it and threw it away.
Actually, I didn't throw it away, but it's in the bottom of a drawer now, and will stay there, for good - its own and mine...
I am still happy with the horsehead motifs of the Rohan battlements tacked on to the main structure over the gate, though. I'll use them somewhere else.
