The Doors of Heorot

This is one of those illustrations that just grew and grew (thank goodness I started well on the left of the page).
Working from an admittedly sketchy sketch, it simply demanded more and more and more of the hall, which I did and did and did until I ran out of paper.
The design of the doors are entirely out of my head, adding Ouroboros (or Jormungandr) and gilding the wyrm is certainly not something from history (with a capital H) but seemd right in a more mythical context.
