I rarely interfere in sub-rights sales made by the editor, but there are times when I wonder if a little help choosing the right pictures might not be called for.
Actually, in the French paperback market, it is fairly rare that the cover has any even distant relationship to the contents. Generations of French readers have happily, or perhaps indifferently, put up with this, but things are now slowly changing.
