I suppose any excuse is sufficient to indulge in a bit of adolescent male fantasy...
I am not a huge fan of illustrations which are basically pulled out of the latest issue of Playboy with bits of armour and dragons added. Of course, why not, but narrative content is kind of missing (speaking of narrative content - we do all buy them to read the articles, right?) It seems a huge amount of fantasy illustration is just flash technique and not much else.
I did enjoy painting it, however.
