Boromir's Last Voyage
Looking at this now, it seems that the Falls of Rauros are a little narrow... I should have added a couple of sheets of paper to the right.
The sketch is also an early pass at Elven boats. I very much wanted to see them like leaves, quite shallow and elegant. The branch tied to the stern would have been Legolas' final tribute.
I had imagined a long slow shot at just above water level, with the boat slowly approaching as the camera pulls slowly away, and when the bow reaches the camera, it drops away, the camera pans down and we are over the falls with the boat plummetting into the rising mist and whitewater far far below.
