Barad-dûr
The Dark Tower of Sauron.
The actual sketch is about 2 and a half yards tall. Reluctant to decide what form the summit should ultimatley take, I added tier after tier of ramparts and the tower grew rather tall before I could make up my mind.
The tiny little bridgetower down in the far lower right-hand corner is the same one drawn in more detail here.
