It's not every day you get a chance to talk shop with Gollum...
Andy's influence on Gollum is considerable, if not to say essential. (The Gollum design marathon is well outlined in The Art of the Two Towers.)
The best part of any digital creature is the non-digital portion (this is not to underestimate the geniuses at work behind the scenes) and Andy's performance is ample reason for the creation of a category for Best Digital Performance.
